Lake District Love

After climbing and completing Snowdon back in July, me and Darrell decided to book ourselves into a cute little guest house and attempt the next peak.. Scaffell Pike. We stayed about 5 minutes from the centre of Keswick in a guest house called 'The Beeches' it's a beautifully run B&B with very friendly hosts. We stayed in bedroom 2 which was a superking! It was absolutely massive, beautifully decorated with an en suite bathroom attached! We paid £85.00 per night for both of us including the breakfast, which was slightly more expensive then what we paid in Wales but worth it! The breakfast below was  locally sourced and delicious. They didn't have a massive range of choice for breakfast, but they had the classic full English, minus the beans.. which was slightly disappointing!

We arrived at the Wasdale car park at about 11.30am and had to pay £6.50 for an all day car parking ticket which we thought was pretty steep! We started from this one because apparently it's the most popular and Darrell had climbed from here twice before! To be honest, i have no idea what path we followed up as we just went with the majority, but it felt never ending.. At one point i thought i was going to cry!! It's so high up, but once you get up to the top it's the most breath taking view you will ever see.. Below are a few of my favourite snaps from the journey up to the top! My leg's are definitely feeling the burn today..

Yesterday we decided (i decided, because i couldn't walk properly) to take a more chilled out approach and go on a boat trip from Ambleside to Bowness on Windemere, it wasn't as nice weather but it was still so relaxing and peaceful to sit at the front of a boat.. the return ticket was only £10.00 which was an absolute bargain! You can get off either side and have a wander around or do a round boat trip which takes about 70 minutes in total, they also point out historic points besides the lake which was interested to know!

Next stop Ben Nevis.. Eeek!

The Disney Tag

It's no secret that I'm slightly addicted to anything Disney (when i say slightly i mean completely obsessed) seeing as i have just booked my 2nd mini holiday to Disneyland Paris this year, i thought this cute tag would fit very well..

Which scene in any Disney movie do you wish you could experience?

Everyone i have seen that's answered this question has pretty much said the same thing, but this honestly is one of my favourite things from any Disney film.. I also love the song so much. Tangled being my favourite Disney film i thought i had to mention this.. also I'm not gonna lie i wish i could fly out of my window and go to neverland.. because realistically who wouldn't wanna fly there?

Your most unforgettable experience you've had at the Parks.

Out of everything that happened whilst we where in America going around the parks, my favourite day was receiving my birthday badge! Everyone said happy birthday to me.. including Anna and Elsa during the parade.. I literally froze like a 5 year old and couldn't even get a thank you out! Also when you go over on the boat and see the castle in the distance!

What is your favourite non-Disney song which remind you or brings back memories of Disney and/or the Parks?

I'm not 100% sure what songs they are talking about & why would i want to mention a non Disney song?? However when me and my best friend went this year we literally could not stop singing the festival of fantasy song which plays in the parks during the parade.

When was the first time you went to a Disney Park?

I think at the age of about 4 maybe? I have been to Magic Kingdom twice and Disneyland Paris twice.. soon to be three times in October :) When i was little apparently i was really annoying and  made my mum go on  it's a small world over and over again..

Name a scene/moment in a Disney movie that never fails to make you cry.

I mean, there are so many.. but a few stick in my mind, when Mufasa dies in the Lion King i feel like I'm going to Hyperventilate every time it's all too much oh and when the beast dies :( I literally feel sad even thinking about it..
If you could choose any character to be your best friend, who would you choose?

Probably Cinderella as her castle is epic & then i could finally go in the princess suite & potentially Captain Jack Sparrow because then i could be near Johnny Depp all the bloody time!

Who are you favourite Disney princesses?

My favourite is Rapunzel, i just love her so much but also i love Elsa! I love all the sisterly love in the film!

What is your first ever Disney film you remember seeing?

I feel like and I'm probably not right but i think my first ever Disney film i remember seeing was The Little Mermaid, an absolute classic!

What is your favourite Disney movie?

Tangled all the way!

Share an image of you at Disney!

Hope you enjoyed it!

LUSH | Rub Rub Rub Shower Scrub

Hey Everyone!

As you can see from previous posts, I'm a huge Lush fan. When pottering around one of my fave Lush shops in Bluewater a friend recommended i try the Rub Rub Rub shower scrub! At first i was very hesitant as to whether this scrub would be to harsh on my skin. The lovely sales assistant assured me this wouldn't be the case and even gave me a very helpful and friendly demonstration of how incredibly this product is. The scrub itself can either be used before you jump in the shower for a harsh scrub or if you have sensitive skin like myself you can lather it up with water once in the shower.

Lush describes the product .... ' An exfoliating shower scrub that can also be used to wash, volumize and add shine to hair. Packed with mineral-rich sea salt, Rub Rub Rub can be used as a gentle scrub on wet skin, or on dry skin for a really good buff before you get in the shower. Sea salt, a natural antiseptic as well as exfoliant, is combined with lots of lemon juice to leave your skin feeling rejuvenated and it also adds shine and volume to hair. '  and I 100% agree they are spot on!

This bright blue product claims to only have 17 ingredients which are either natural or safe synthetics which is fantastic! They also don't test any of their ingredients on animals which is lovely to hear, as so many brands still do! Some of the ingredients included are - fine sea salt, orange flower, lemon oil, jasmine, mimosa and fresh organic lemon juice! I still can't quite put my finger on the scent of this product but they say the smell is sea salt and orange flower, i can definitely smell the freshness of the sea salt mixed with the citrus of the lemon juice however, sorry Lush i just don't smell any orange flower! Either way i love the smell and find it very refreshing in the morning or after a gym session.

The other thing the sales assistant told us to do was try it on our hair as sea salt is known to give you natural volume. At first i didn't particularly want to put the bright blue product in my hair seeing as my hair is bleached blonde, but i gave it a go and i was so pleased with the results not only did i get incredible volume but my hair felt so soft and clean. Rub Rub Rub Shower Scrub retails at £8.50 for  large 330g pot which doesn't go off for a whole year!

Have you tried this amazing scrub? What did you think?

Brown Paper Bag Love

I've never been a huge burger fan, except for obviously McDonald's burgers which is a horrific but true. However after all of the hype (and amazing reviews) of the new American chain 'Five Guys' hitting the UK.. i  decided to dive in and i wasn't disappointed!!
The food is incredible, but don't be fooled by the menu! You can either go for a Hamburger, Cheeseburger etc. OR you can go for a little cheeseburger! I decided to go for a little cheeseburger and feel this was the best option, it's not a smaller or kiddie sized burger it literally has one burger instead of two like the regular one. You can then pile high with as many toppings as you like including things like onions, mayo, lettuce, tomatoes and mushrooms. The 'regular' sized fries also servestwo people! Also i love the fact it comes in a brown paper bag and is wrapped in foil!!
Overall i honestly think the best part is the free refills and the amazing 1000 + drink selection! I obviously went for coke with vanilla AND cherry, but they have so many flavours including peach sprite, blueberry coke and if you're really brave mint coke!!

Seriously, check this place out if you haven't already! They are opening up in more and more places around the UK and i would highly recommend them!
