DAYS OUT | RHS Garden Wisley In Autumn

This previous weekend was my Dad's birthday, the weather on Sunday was lovely.. brilliant blue skies and crisp leaves underfoot! We decided to go on a little birthday outing to the RHS Garden Wisley, I have visited once before in the summer but was looking forward to having a little play around with my camera now all the leaves are gorgeous autumnal colours. Just to pre warn you and to make you aware in case you don't like these types of posts.. this is going to be very photo heavy!

Wisley is £12.00 for an adult ticket which gets you entry to the full site, it's huge and i feel we got our money's worth. It seems they almost always have different activities for children and whilst we were there this weekend it was the harvest festival.. (hence the pumpkins dotted around) in addition to the very well kept gardens they also have a tropical green house which is pretty interesting to wander around. The food at Wisley is wonderful and not like an average cafeteria you may find at a National Trust Garden, the food is all fresh and they even have very yummy homemade cakes! I really enjoyed Wisley both times I've visited and would highly recommend it to any age!

Have you ever been to Wisley?!

Yoohoo Mail Stationery Subscription Box

There seems to be a subscription for just about everything nowadays.. from beauty to animal care you name it.. so when this October addition of the Yoohoo mail stationary subscription box* landed in my lap i was SO excited to open it up and have a peak in side! I have a slight stationary addiction and always find myself wandering down the stationary isle in Tesco.. so this box fitted me very well!

The Yoohoo box was invented by a lady called Gemma, a graphic designer who designs real pretty paper products! They are all so gorgeously designed as well as being very bright and eye catching - i couldn't wait to share this exciting discovery with my lovely followers. Every month you will receive a mystery selection of creative paper products all designed by Gemma herself- this could be anything from notecards, postcards and greeting cards to planner pages! Each box costs £12 + a postage fee of £2 and can be done as either a monthly subscription or a one of payment.. all i know is that this definitely will not be my last box. As well as these boxes she also sells prints and greeting cards.. I in particular want the 'bloggers gonna blog' print.. i love it so much!

The first thing that caught my eye where these very vibrant greetings cards, they range from birthday cards, congratulations and thank you cards. There was a very generous 6 cards included in this October box and not one that i didn't like. I'm one of those people who hoards cards and has a  'just in case' draw so i never run out even when i may have forgotten a birthday.. so these where the perfect addition to add in! My favourite has to be the 'Pina Colada' card with the recipe on the back and also the cute little rabbit that says 'Hoppy Birthday!' very well designed and printed on quality paper. I also love all the different coloured envelopes - a very lovely touch!

Next up is a pack of 3 postcards including 'Ello Ello Ello', 'Oh Hi There' & last but not least and my favourite, a nautical themed postcode with 'Ahoy There' written boldy on the front. As well as writing notes to fellow friends or colleagues i can imagine people popping these in frames to decorate their homes or office spaces. The quality of the paper is once again lovely and thick and they have a real shine to them meaning they would make the perfect home accessory!

Lastly my favourite item in the whole box is a list maker, something that i have wanted for a while but just haven't got round to buying.. so upon opening the box i was thrilled! This is way too nice to use once and throw away, so i have decided to laminate mine and get a wipe off pen so i can use it weekly for blog planning. The next also connected to this and one i have also laminated is a weekly planner, this is a really handy addition - especially for us bloggers!

If you want to check out Yoohoo mail subscription boxes (and i highly recommend you do & support a lovely small businesses) you can find them on twitter, facebook, instagram or directly on their website.

The Best Friend Tag featuring Life Without A Fun Sponge

If you follow my blog you will probably know i mention my best friend who also happens to be my blogging buddy Emma (Life Without A Fun Sponge) quite a lot! We didn't actually meet through blogging and have been friends for over 10 years. Whilst i was up in London a few weekends ago we decided to compile a list of questions for each other and create a best friend tag. Below are Emma's Answers.. If you want to find out what i said then click here to view my answers!

1. How and when did you meet?
I already knew who Jess was because her brother went to my school, but we first met when my Mum organised a ski trip of all of our friends families and friends of friends families. Even though we’d never met our Mum’s decided we’d share a room as we were the same age! We met at the baggage check in area of Gatwick Airport in 2001or 2002 and it took us until about Security to become besties! Here’s a photo from that day! Check out that fashion – baggie jeans and surf tops.

2. Favourite inside joke?
Probably… PENNYYYYY or MOM! Where’s my coffee coolada! Not going to explain as that’s what makes them inside jokes

3. Do you have any nicknames for each other?
Sister or NeeNee

4. Favourite song that reminds you of each other?
Jesse McCarthy Beautiful Soul! Or Stacy’s Mum by Fountains of Wayne!

5. What is your favourite memory together?
The trip of a lifetime we went on to DisneyWorld Florida last year – we visited every park over two weeks and just had the best time EVER. My favourite moment was when we swam with dolphins on Jess’ 24th Birthday. It was just incredible

6. What is something weird you eat together?
We make rice crispy goo …which is ricecrispy that you don’t put in the fridge and just eat out the saucepan…always have always will!

7. Favourite drink?
Elderflower White Wine Spritzers  (recipe here)
That’s our grown up drink…but when we were about 14 we used to go on holiday to Portugal together…we’d order vanilla milkshakes and then Jess’ Dad would order shots of Malibu for us to mix in….vanilla Malibu milkshakes – what a thought!

8. Do you have anything matching?
What don’t we have matching?
We had matching playboy tracksuits…but the traitor sold hers on ebay for a surprising amount of money! I still have mine. We also have lots of matching pyjamas and Minnie Mouse ears and bows!

9. What's your favourite make-up brand?
NARS…we lust after Charlotte Tilbury…but own nothing! … yet!

10. Post a funny old picture of you together
There are so many! I think I’ve narrowed it down to this

This was our first ski trip without our parents tagging along too! So this was 2008. We’d been out and I think it must have been some French football match and we got painted in the flag. We wandered down the street speaking French and ended up taking this beautiful pic…check out the smokey eye makeup…I assume mine had smudged…I hope I didn’t choose to have it that way!

11. Post your favourite picture of you together
Oh its so hardddddd ok I really like this one from our trip to Malta this summer…I just think we both look really nice!

But then again…we do in this one too…
which makes me laugh everytimeeee – we were at Animal Kingdom at Disney and it was PISSING down!!

12. Have you ever been on holiday together- name the places?
This might be long… Ok so we’ve been skiing to: Tignes, Les Deux Alpes, Meribel, Les Gets and Morzine.
Then we’ve also been to Portugal, Thailand, Florida, Paris and Malta
Have I missed any?
Here we are on a naughty Thai elephant in 2006…Von Dutch hat and all!

13. If you were to go any place on earth together, where would it be?
I think I’d go back to Disney Florida…or maybe the California on just to give it a try!

14. What is your favourite film to watch together?
Thirteen! We’ve watched it so many times that we both know all the words…its actually quite a disturbing film for us to have watched age 15…

15. What is it like having a best friend who blogs?
No one else understands the fact that I blog like Jess does. Other people have varying opinions but she “gets it”. Plus I love reading her blog and going to blogging events with her!

16. What is your favourite blog post your best friend has written?
It’s the Disney Adventure Day 2 one from when we went to DisneyLand Paris! I love the Florida one too but this one is much more detailed so I love looking back at it!

Love you forever Sissy!

I loved doing this collaboration so much, the answers and photo's are hilarious.. Make sure you go check out Emma's blog here and also her twitter here

September Favourites

It's my favourite blog post to read and also write! Some of the products are things i have gone back to and some are new finds.. I hope you enjoy!

Liz Earle Instant Boost Tonic  | £14.50 for 200ml bottle
This has been a staple part of my skin care routine for ages and will appear in my yearly favourites. However, i wanted it to make appearance in my September favourites as i really have been appreciating the effect it has on my skin as we go from summer to autumn. I've tried a few different toners in my life ranging from expensive to non expensive but have always found myself returning to this product. Firstly, it's packed full of natural ingredients including aloe vera, chamomile, cucumber and vitamin E - all products which i find soothes acne prone skin like mine and also reduces inflammation! I simply apply to a cotton pad and sweep across my face morning and nigh.. I'm still in shock with the amount of dirt it pulls out my pores even after cleanse and polishing!
This tool has been my favourite thing since i started using it back in February when i was lucky enough to be given one as a present from my bestie Emma (Life without a fun sponge) these are incredible and worth every single penny. I've seen a lot of bloggers saying that these are a waste of money and to buy a dupe - I've tried dupes including the Real Techniques sponge (which ripped in half after first use) and nothing compares! You wet it under the tap, let it expand, towel dry it out and then apply your foundation by twisting and pressing gently all over your face. It leaves the most flawless look and the sponge doesn't soak up your foundation like over make-up songes can.
I have this product  in on and bronze which i purchased towards the end of August. Once again, this was a product i picked up on recommendation from one of my favourite Youtubers (Gabriella Lindley). When she was using it it seemed like it was no hassle to apply, blended really easily and gave a good finish. I bought a darker bronze shade but am now looking to pick up a slightly lighter shade for everyday use! It's super pigmented with a great finish, the product doesn't crease and looks good all day. I'm really looking forward to picking up a few more of these in particular pink gold, eternal gold and permanent taupe.
This is my favourite everyday lip product and one that I've been using alot in September. I tend to use this when I'm in a rush going to work - it's super moisturising and has a gorgeous rose tint which goes with every outfit. I always have compliments on the colour  and it's perfect to pop in your handbag to keep your lips hydrated throughout the day! I also blogged about this at the beginning of the year and included swatches in this which you can read here.
This was part of a set i got when i attended IMATS 2015 the two colours (Deep throat & Amour). I didn't actually use this for a while as i wanted to take photos first but when i rediscovered it hiding in the bottom of my make-up bag it instantly became a daily favourite. The product itself is really pigmented and gives a lovely natural flush to the cheeks, i have been enjoying wearing this with a little highlighter over the top. The lighter shade is my favourite out of the two but i have been enjoying playing around with both of them.

All - In - One Instablur | £14.00 for 25ml
This product is created from a unique formula which contains matifying spherical powders that work to diminish shine for up to 12 hours, smooth pours, hides blemishes and extend your make-up wear. This product does exactly what it says on the packaging and tt's amazing, i love it and wear it every day without fail.. you can instantly see  different from first applying the product as it matifies the skin. If you tend to get oily around your t-zone like i do throughout the day then this product just helps banish this and to hold make-up in place!
I picked this product up when i went on holiday as a little travel size simply because it was the only tesco had. I normally go for the Tresemme freeze hold so this product is very different from that.. It doesn't make your hair sticky and matte like others. It holds your hair into place but then you can brush it through and the product disapears. I haven't tried this on curls, but i do like to spray a bit of sea salt in my hair followed by this to make beach waves.

Have you tried any of these products?
